Russell C. Van Horn, PhD 2003
After earning his PhD in 2003, Russ joined the lab of Dr Susan Alberts in the Department of Biology at Duke University, where he worked on patterns of relatedness and group fission events in baboons. He then joined the staff of the Center for Reproduction of Endangered Species (CRES) at the San Diego Zoo, where he works as a research scientist, focusing mainly on bear conservation.
